VivErdie was founded from a simple belief, that waste can hold beauty, and materials deserve a second life.
Our roots lie in the fashion industry, where we witnessed first-hand how much potential is lost every year. Globally, over 92 million tonnes of textile waste are discarded annually, with less than 1% being truly recycled back into new fabrics.
We saw how large companies often lacked accessible solutions for their textile waste, while small and emerging designers struggled to afford sustainable materials. Beautiful innovations existed, but too often remained out of reach.
VivErdie was created to change that. By merging science and design, we develop circular materials that transform waste into new beginnings. Our work bridges the gap between industry and creativity, offering solutions that are both scalable and poetic, functional and meaningful.
We develop and design circular materials and products that challenge today’s standards of consumption. Our mission is to reconnect people with the origin, potential, and poetry of the materials around them.

At the heart of VivErdie lies Vifour, a material made from up to 95% recycled textiles, bound together with a natural, vegan binder.
Strong yet soft, Vifour can be endlessly recycled, reshaped, and reused, transforming textile waste into new forms of design, art, and architecture.

We believe that materials have their own language. Instead of forcing them into shape, we listen, allowing the process and properties of the material to guide the outcome. This approach results in honest, tactile designs that celebrate imperfection and transformation.

From acoustic panels to art pieces, every product we make is designed to last, not just physically, but philosophically. Our goal is to make sustainable, cradle-to-cradle materials as accessible and desirable as any conventional alternative.

All VivErdie materials and products are developed and produced locally in our studio, using responsible processes and minimal energy. We collaborate with designers, companies, and institutions who share our vision for a circular, creative future.
